In conjunction with Manchester Literature Festival, Speakeasy returns to present, Black Jesus, their third new work of 2008. Directed by Chanje Kunda, Yvonne McCalla and Colin Thorpe, Black Jesus is set in future Manchester in a parallel universe called Onechester where a new age is promised and new forms of language flourish.
The show will feature a select line-up of Speakeasy poets and live music from the world-class Speakeasy band.
Special guest poet: the dynamic Roger Robinson. Roger Robinson is the author of a short fiction collection, Adventures in 3D (lubin & kleyner) and a collection of poetry, Suitcase (waterways).
